   The Ultrasonic or Harmonic Surgical System is a surgical equipment used to simultaneously cut and cauterize tissue. Unlike Electrosurgery, the harmonic surgical system uses ultrasonic vibrations instead of electric current to cut and cauterize tissue. It composed by generator , handpiece or transducer , scalpel or shear and footswitch and It's mainly used in ENT surgery, head-neck surgery, breast surgery, thoracic surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, abdominal surgery, urology MIS and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.
